Mindful breathing amplifies the therapeutic value of any yoga class. If you’ve followed classes at Neshama you’ve already noticed that every class begins with identifying your rhythm of breath so that it can guide your movements. The quality of our breath has a profound effect on the nervous system and state of mind. Join this series to learn simple techniques that allow you to support your energy in the way you need.

Your lungs are like any other muscle and yogic breathing require skill and practice. The same way we need to perform warm-up exercises before attempting more advanced postures, our respiratory system requires training before attempting advanced breathing exercises.

This mini-course will provide a thorough introduction to yogic breathing practices. Each week will build on the previous week’s practice. Suitable for both beginners and experienced students.
